Kholo:面向印度 6–14 岁学生的 3D 拆解与 Python 学习应用

Kholo

Apps for kids

School tells children what happens. Kholo lets them open it. Pull a car, a rocket or the human body apart in 3D. Read real Python line by line before running it. Work through English stories at your own level. Build something from parts your local shop sells. Ages 6–14, mapped to the NCERT syllabus.

Hi Product Hunt 👋 I built Kholo after watching my own kid read a chapter on the human heart, answer every question correctly, and have no idea what a heart actually does. That gap is everywhere in Indian classrooms — children learn to recite science without ever seeing it. Kholo has five shelves, and they all work the same way: understand it first, then practise. 🔧 15 things in 3D — a car, a rocket, a mango tree, a smartphone, the human body. One slider pulls any of them apart. Tap a part, hear what it does. 💻 Coding — real Python a child reads before they run it. Say what it will do, step through it a line at a time, find the one thing wrong. 📖 English — 20 stories written at five levels. A child reads at the level they're actually at. Nothing is ever scored on accent. 🛠 Projects — real things to build from parts any Indian electronics or hardware shop sells, including every way it can go wrong. 🔬 Science-fair projects — a question nobody has answered for you, a fair test, and a board to stand up and present. Everything maps to the NCERT chapter it supports, so it sits alongside school rather than competing with it. Four things are free forever — the car, the body, the tree and the solar system — and you don't need an account to look around. It's early. I'd genuinely like to be told what's wrong with it.

93% of these children could read the page. 31% understood it

A study of low-income children in English-medium schools in Hyderabad tested both ends of the same task. Reading a paragraph

aloud: 92.5% accuracy. Answering questions about what they'd just read: 31%. Every adult in the room hears fluent reading and concludes the child is fine.

That gap is the entire reason this product exists.

I built a 3D science app for kids almost entirely with Claude Code

Fifteen teardown-able models, a Python lesson flow, an English reader, payments, auth. One person. What it was genuinely good at: refactoring, migrations, catching CSS that was quietly dead. What it wasn't: knowing when a feature shouldn't exist.

Happy to answer anything about the workflow.

What's something you only understood once you saw inside it?

For me it was a car engine. I could describe the four strokes at sixteen and had no idea what any of it looked like until I watched someone take a head off.

I'm building a thing for children based on that gap, so I'm genuinely curious: what's yours? The thing you could recite long before you understood it.
