Excited to hunt Smooth Recorder today.

Lately, I’ve been making more tutorials, so I’ve tried quite a few screen recording tools on Mac, including Screen Studio. Smooth Recorder genuinely holds its own against them and in a few areas, I actually prefer it.

What stands out:

• Automatic zooms + smooth cursor: Recordings already look edited when you hit stop.
• Transcript editing: Edit the video by editing the text, and remove filler words or long pauses in one click.
• **More than video:**Screenshots, scrolling captures, GIFs, text extraction, and smart redaction are all built in.
• Native + private: It’s a real macOS app, and captions, OCR, and redaction all happen locally on your Mac.

A seriously polished tool for anyone creating demos, tutorials, or product content on Mac.
